 Colleen has been a part of the Scotiabank Group of Companies since 1994. In the fall of 2000, Colleen joined the Ottawa office of ScotiaMcLeod as a dedicated financial planner and within a year, she had begun developing her own clientele.
A graduate of Carleton University with a Bachelor of Commerce, Honours Degree (1996), Colleen is a Certified Financial Planner, Canadian Investment Manager, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, and Financial Divorce Specialist. Additionally, she is life insurance licensed and continues to educate herself through a variety of financial workshops and independent resources.
Colleen is committed to helping clients integrate their real life with their dreams, and takes particular satisfaction in helping other women achieve financial success. She believes in ethically responsible investing and working with integrity; finding options that benefit each client financially while remaining in line with their key values and morals. Colleen excels in guiding clients through the creation and growth of wealth, allowing them to live, enjoy and dream. Colleen was born and raised in the Ottawa Valley, where she continues to live with her husband and two young children. With the support of her spouse, she is actively involved in numerous community initiatives, including Women for Mental Health – an organization of which Colleen is a founding member.
Carole Girard, Senior Associate

 Carole joined the Scotiabank Group of Companies in 2011. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, most recently as a Senior Financial Consultant providing comprehensive financial planning services to physicians and their families.
Carole obtained her Certified Financial Planner designation in 2005 and has completed the Canadian Securities, Conducts and Practices and Professional Financial Planning Courses. Additionally, Carole is life insurance licensed.
Carole is passionate about educating clients on various financial planning strategies, as well as providing exceptional client service. A single parent who enjoys helping others, she understands the importance of goal setting as a step to success. As a financial advisor, Carole believes that a solid financial plan is the foundation for achieving one’s goals and dreams. This belief has lead Carole to pursue her passion: a career in financial planning that helps clients develop and implement customized financial plans tailored to their specific goals and needs.
Carole is originally from Northern Ontario and relocated to Ottawa in 2002 both to be near her daughter and to further develop her financial career in an urban market. Carole is a family-oriented individual and the proud grandmother of one grandson, Lukah.
